M.O.B X FUBU?...NO SIRREE BOB.

So, yesterday was an interesting day in the fashion blog world. It was drama drama drama... As we all know, a couple of days ago MOB came out with their spring 1 collection. And this sweater is what started all the beef:

Friday became CLAW MONEY vs. MOB day. It all had to do with topic of biting. Claw Money's side said that MOB bit off a jacket they did back in 06', and that everyone jacks their shit.

I'm not gonna front, when I read the post I had to laugh, (and leave a comment) I found it funny that whoever wrote about Mob jacking Claw actually had the balls to say something. I noticed , in my year of blogging and following streetwear blogs, you rarely see people get put on blast. There is no doubt a lot of ass kissing that goes on in the blog world, and everywhere for that matter. Everyone wants free shit. Duh.

But anyway, back to the beef....so yeah, once all of this started the rumors about MOB being owned by FUBU came out and about and the haters really got at Leah. And when I say haters I don't mean the people who say "I'm not really feeling the line" but the one's who go "that bitch is a cracked out whore".

You see, the saying is "opinions are like assholes, everyone has one". That is true. Freedom of speech is also a right that we all have, but some of the stuff that was being said about Leah was really unnecessary. Just for the record..I do not know Leah (hbic of mob), I've met her once and she was super nice, and even though I feel like Mob is od'ing with their $50 tee shirts I have mad respect for the hustle and I wont knock somebody who made something outta nothing, especially a female. (yay girl power)

Today, to set the record straight about the whole FUBU thing Leah posted this on her blog:

I'm going to aplogize in advance for any typos. I'm blogging from my blackberry because my internet is down. So yeah it's Saturday morning and I'm sitting here coloring with my daughter trying not to think about all the hate people are spreading around about my other daughter...MOB! But I can't keep it in any longer because this shit is so lame. To set the record straight...I entered into a partnership with Samsung a year ago. Yes Samsung, not Fubu. People are getting confused because Samsung also owns shares of Fubu, just like they own shares of many other companies. I'm very proud of my decision to do this. I did this to make my dreams reality, to turn MOB into an internationally known heavy hitter with a full line of product and more reach so I can continue to spread the MOB message. As for hateing bitches who are just mad that they can't get a deal for their own lame ass brands, keep on hateing me. I would too if I were you. I'm gonna keep doing me and MOB.If you are with me and down with MOB let's walk these dogs. Fuck the rest. And there you have it. FUBU doe's not own MOB, which I don't know why that would've been a big deal anyway but whatever.

And the whole biting thing, when you really think about it, has been going on forever. It's one thing to be inspired by somebodys work and it's another thing to steal someones idea. In my opinion (see, everyone has one) I think the Mob sweater is hot. It's kinda the only piece I'm really feeling in the whole collection. But that's just me.

In the end, I always say, Give credit where credit is due.
